The mission of redshirtfridays.org is to show support for our servicemen and women. We are not a political organization. We do not care whether or not one supports or does not support the war. We care only about making our support of our servicemen and women known to our fellow Americans and the world. We are a silent majority that does not wish to remain silent anymore. We need to let our servicemen and women know we support their sacrifice and we will not forget them and we will do this by wearing red on every Friday. |

I just found your web site, because of an e-mail I received. I will make Friday's a red shirt day from now on, and will make sure everyone I know does the same. I'm Ordering a shirt to help spread the message. Please look at what we do, and consider listing us on your links page, because we too support our Troops. For the most part, we are BBQ cooks, that take time out from competing in contests, to cook BBQ Meals (free of charge) for our Soldiers. The next BBQ will be a big one, we are going to FT Hood, Texas to feed about 12,000 at a Welcome home party for Soldiers of the 3rd Armored Calvary. www.bbqforourtroops.com Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to join us at an event, we can always use the help!!!! (I'm working on one for later this year at Ft Bragg, NC. we are expecting to feed 10,000+) Dave David Waun CBO (Chief BBQ Officer) Smokin' Brothers BBQ USO Coordinator for Operation BBQ, Ohio Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

Touching Emails
You must read this poem we received via email: "A Different Christmas Poem"
A Veteran

Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to " The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
All Gave Some - Some Gave All

Red Shirt Fridays At Work
The parents of Staff Sgt. Blake Harris continue to support our troops after the loss of their son.
This is truly a family of heroes and they are an example to us all. May God bless them.
